To ensure safe use and long lifespan of your sauna tent, carefully follow the instructions in this document. Improper assembly, use, or maintenance can lead to serious injury to persons and property. This document contains important safety regulations, warranty conditions, and liability distribution – read it in its entirety.
General safety
- Use the sauna tent only according to the instructions in this manual. Improper use may result in serious injury to persons and damage to property.
- Modification or reconstruction of the product is done at your own risk and voids all warranties.
Select location
- Choose a location free from buildings, trees, or other obstacles that may create wind shadows and affect the stove's function.
- Place the tent on stable, level, and non-flammable ground. Avoid surfaces that may melt or emit toxic substances when heated.
- Place the tent at least 2 meters away from other flammable objects.
Assembly
- Secure the tent carefully with the included ropes and tent pegs. Place weight (e.g., stones) on the bottom of the tent to prevent it from blowing away.
- Be careful when assembling the tent frame. The frame is elastic and can straighten out suddenly, which may cause personal injury or damage to the surroundings.
- Check that all parts are properly attached before you start using the tent.
Weather
- Weather and wind wear on all materials. To maximize the tent's lifespan, the tent should be taken down when not in use.
- The tent is not designed to withstand extreme weather conditions such as storms or heavy snow loads. If the tent is used in winter, regularly remove any snow from the roof to avoid collapse.
Use of the stove
- Before first use, burn off any industrial oil residues by heating the stove outdoors.
- Use only dry wood or briquettes as fuel. We recommend birch wood, as spruce wood is more likely to create sparks and hot ash that can land on the tent and cause damage. It is forbidden to use gasoline, kerosene, or other liquid and explosive fuels.
- Never place the stove on a meltable surface or near flammable materials.
- Always use the included fiberglass cover as protection against sparks that may land on the tent's roof. Holes in the tent fabric caused by ash or careless use are not covered by the warranty.
- Ensure that the stove has good ventilation. Never block the openings of the tent and keep the ventilation flaps fully open during use.
- Deformation of the unit can occur with excessive firing. A certain degree of deformation is normal and does not affect functionality, but excessive heat can lead to damage that should be avoided through proper use.
- Saltwater must absolutely not be poured on the stove, as it causes rust and serious damage to the material. Only use clean water for safe and sustainable use.
- Do not use forest debris, paper, or other materials that can cause sparks and ignite the surroundings or cause damage to the tent.
Chimney and ventilation
- Keep the chimney free from blockages and ensure that it does not lean or touch combustible materials.
- To avoid toxic gases, use the tent only with open ventilation windows.
- Check and clean the chimney regularly to avoid soot buildup and impaired function.
Water and steam
- If you use a water tank, always fill the tank with water before using the stove. Empty tanks can be damaged and destroyed by the heat.
- Use only small amounts of water on hot stones to avoid scalding or burns from steam.
- Avoid pouring water over hot surfaces quickly to minimize the risk of steam explosions.
Children and supervision
- Bivouac tents and stoves must not be left unattended. Never allow children to supervise or use the product without adult supervision.
- A sauna tent is not a toy and can cause serious injuries if one is not careful.
- Always store firewood and kindling outside the sauna and out of reach of children.
After use
- Extinguish the fire completely and let the stove cool down before disassembly.
- Clean the stove and chimney of ash and soot after each use.
- Make sure the tent is dry before storage to avoid mold and damage.
- Store the tent in a dry and cool place. Avoid direct sunlight and humid environments for extended periods to prevent material deterioration and mold.
- Check that no damage has occurred to the tent or stove after use.
